For over 20 years Jon Levine has sat at the intersection of creativity (brand building) and commerce (performance driven). Having transitioned from Investment Banker to a Chief Marketing Officer, Operating Executive and Growth Advisor with a robust track record of steering consumer brands towards unparalleled growth. I've worked with over 50 startups and $1B+ brands through transformative journeys. My expertise spans across diverse consumer goods and retail industries, where I've pioneered marketing strategies, digital transformations, and operational excellence. With 3 successful exits and a knack for building and leading high-caliber teams, I'm committed to driving innovation and achieving sustainable success. As an expert in brand strategy, e-commerce, D2C, B2B sales, and integrated marketing campaigns, I've raised capital six times, launched four startups, and positioned a brand for a billion-dollar acquisition.
Most recently, Jon has been a Growth Advisor and Fraction CMO to over a dozen brands. These have ranged from, Roam Luggage, the only customizable luggage brand from the founders to Tumi, to Wood Veneer Hub, the leading global wood slat panel brand.
Prior to this, Jon led the leading culinary workwear brand, Hedley & Bennett, from the professional to consumer market. As the first outside executive, his leadership went beyond the his role as CMO to lead marketing, sales (B2B), e-commerce, customer service, as well as operations for the company. This also included taking the company from bootstrapped to bringing in venture capital and driving top-line revenue over 8x.
Not afraid of challenges. he has taken concepts from ideation to launch, led successful brand turnarounds and transformed brands for today’s discerning consumers. But more importantly is that he has done this across a variety of industries and categories. Rather than bringing a cookie cutter approach to his work, he brings broad experience with best practices, deep cross-functional knowledge and a vast network of professionals to every new challenge.
When Jon is not building brands, he is the co-founder and Chair of the Board of Directors for Minds Matter Los Angeles, a non-profit with a mission to connect driven and determined students from low-income families with the people, preparation, and possibilities to succeed in college, create their future, and change the world. While we specialize in creating equitable access to higher education, our true goal is to eliminate the systemic inequities in our educational system and create long-term impact for our students, their families and society.
